π Pool Rules
Calcutta Pool 2026 β Know the rules, respect the game, drink the beer.
Structure
- Squads bid together as a team
- Budget cap set by commissioner per squad
- Two pools: Calcutta Pool (90%) + Spread Pool (10%)
- Auction order: Worst seeds first (16 β 1)
Payouts (Per Game)
Each game in each round pays the specified percentage. Per game, not cumulative.
Example: If the total pool is $30,000, a Sweet 16 win pays $900 (3% x $30,000) from the Calcutta Pool.
Spreads
- Spreads sourced from Chicago Sun-Times
- Whole numbers get +0.5 to eliminate pushes (e.g., -3 becomes -3.5 β no ties, every game has a spread winner)
- Cover the spread = win the spread payout
- Losing team that covers β owner gets spread payout
House Rules
- Commissioner's decision is final on all disputes
- All percentages are per game, not cumulative
- Spread pool = 10% of total bids
- Don't be that guy. Pay up.
